We are happy to announce that the Justice Palma Foundation is now a grantee of the Ayala Foundation USA!
 

 

AF-USA is a 501(c) 3 organization in the US and so any donations coursed through AF-USA is tax deductible.  Donations coursed through AF-USA will go to the Foundation’s School Support Program that aims to provide academic support and capacity building trainings to the students, faculty and parents of the Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma High School, formerly Payatas High School located in Quezon City.  Programs and activities include college scholarships, academic and literacy improvements (ex. upgrading of the library), and capacity building for teachers and parents.   (To learn more about the Justice Palma High School, click here.) 

 

AF-USA will also help the Foundation in communication and fund development plans.

2009 Commemorative Stamp Print E-mail

 

Justice Palma’s 96th birthday celebrated with a commemorative stamp!

 

Last November 23, 2009, the Philippine Postal Corporation and the Justice Palma Foundation launched the Commemorative Stamp of the late Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma at the EDSA Shangrila Hotel.  The stamp highlighted the career of Justice Palma especially becoming the first woman Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.  The commemorative stamp was unveiled by Postmaster General Hector R.R. Villanueva, and Pearl Palma Cardema while the First Day Cover was signed by the Postmaster General Villanueva, former Department of Tourism Secretary Mina Gabor, and Mr. Tadeo Palma.        

The stamps are available during its commemorative year, starting November 22, 2009, the birth date of Justice Palma until November 21, 2010.
